Buckwheat has a subtle, sweet whole grain flavor that is relatively higher in protein and healthy fats and lower in carbohydrates than other grains. Buckwheat can be processed in several ways: One option calls for the hull to been removed, resulting in a groat. From there is can be roasted, resulting in Buckwheat Kasha. It can also be ground into flour. Buckwheat flour can be used to replace up to 20% of the flour in most baked goods for a unique flavor and increased nutrition. The hull is also sold as a standalone product. Vegan, Gluten Free, Non-GMO.
